Celery In Yogurt Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 finely sliced onion | ||
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 1 lb roughly chopped celery | ||
| Chicken stock | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Natural yogurt | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sour cream | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
Directions
Put the onion in the base of a shallow dish with half the butter.
Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.
Arrange the celery on top, pour over the bouillon (stock) and cover with saran wrap (cling film) and pierce.
Cook on HIGH for 12 minutes.
Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
To make the sauce, melt the remaining butter in a bowl for 30 seconds on HIGH.
Stir in the flour.
Measure 2/3 cup (150 ml/1/4 pint) of cooking liquid from the celery and stir into the butter and flour.
Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring twice.
Add the yogurt, sour cream, nutmeg and salt and pepper to taste and stir until smooth.
Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes, pour over the celery
