Celery In Grapefruit Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Celery | 1 Bunch (100gm) | |
| Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Grapefruit juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Grapefruit segments | ||
| Paprika pepper | 1 To taste (Garnish:) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Wash, trim and cut the celery into 5 cm/2 inch pieces.
Cook in boiling salted water for 10 minutes.
Drain and place in a shallow serving dish.
Keep hot.
Melt the margarine in a pan and stir in the flour.
Cook for 1 minute.
Remove from the heat and gradually blend in the milk.
Heat, stirring, until the sauce thickens.
Stir in the grapefruit juice and salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for 1 minute then pour over the celery.
Garnish with grapefruit segments and paprika pepper.
Serve with meat or fish.
