6 sticks celery, cleaned and cut into julienne strips
1/2 lb carrots, scraped and cut into julienne strips
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon snipped chives
1 teaspoon marjoram
Salt and pepper
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
Directions
1 The total weight of the vegetables should be about 350g/12 oz. Arrange the celery and carrots in a 900ml/1 1/2 pint (3 3/4 cup) oval or round casserole dish.
2 Flake the butter over. Sprinkle with chopped chives and marjoram, and season well with salt and pepper.
3 Spoon over 2 tablespoons water. Cover with plastic wrap and pierce.
4 Microwave on full power for 10 minutes. The vegetables should be stirred half way through cooking, to make sure that they cook evenly.
5 Allow to stand for 5 minutes, covered. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
