Cauliflower Gratin Recipe
My longing for Cauliflower Gratin strengthened during high school days. The main ingredient in Cauliflower Gratin is Vegetable. The Asian Cauliflower Gratin makes a yummy Side Dish. I shall look forward to your comments on this recipe.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds cauliflower
2 cups ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (6 ounces) tomato sauce
1 cup water
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
3 tomatoes, sliced
Directions
Wash and trim the cauliflower and cut into flowerets.
Place in a pan with salted water and bring to boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and cook for about ten minutes.
Drain and set aside to cool.
In a skillet saute the beef with the onion for ten minutes, stirring to break up the big pieces.
Season with the salt and pepper.
Stir in the tomato sauce and one cup water.
Cook over low heat for ten minutes.
Meanwhile, arrange the cauliflower in a round baking pan.
Cover with the beef mixture.
Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.
Dot with butter.
Arrange the tomatoes over the top and bake at 350 degrees for about twenty minutes.
