Caspian Split Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| Stock | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 2 Large, diced | |
| Carrots-2nos, thinly, sliced | ||
| Cabbage | 1 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| Green peas | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Barley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) | |
| Parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a pot, combine together the stock, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, split peas, barley and garlic.
2) Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for about 1 1/4 hours, or until the barley is tender.
3) Stir in the parsley, reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish.
SERVING
4) Serve garnished with parsley.
