carrot kosambari Recipe
Ingredients
| Carrots- 4-5 medium sized(grated) | ||
| Moong Dal | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Coconut-grated- 4 tbsp | ||
| Mustard seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Black gram | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Asafoetida | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Green chillies-3-4 (slit)or finely chopped | ||
| Juice of one lemon | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
soak green gram in water for 30-45 min.In a salad bowl, mix the grated carrots, soaked moong dal (after straining excess water), coconut, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt, lime juice.
Fry the seasonings (mustard, urad dal(black gram), green chillies,hing) in oil till they splutter and add this to the salad.
Mix well and serve
