Ingredients
| Carrots - 1 kilo, peel and cut into thin long pieces | ||
| Mustard seeds | 25 Gram | |
| Fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds and turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon each | ||
| Chilli powder and sugar - 2 tablespoons each | ||
| Cloves | 5 | |
| Cinnamon stick | 2 | |
| Oil | 100 Gram | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Pound all the spices together to a coarse powder.
2. In a bowl keep carrots and apply salt over it.
3. Keep aside for few hours.
4. Squeeze out water from it.
MAKING
5. In a skillet heat oil until smoking. Add all spices in it and fry briefly.
6. Take off from fire. Let cool the mixture.
7. Add carrots and sugar to it.
SERVING
8. Reserve in airtight bottle and set aside for 4 days.
