Carrot Raisins Halwa Recipe
Carrot Halwa has a lovely taste. Carrot Halwa gets its taste from carrot mixed with milk and sugar, topped with sultanas and raisins. Carrot Halwa is loved by many people.
Ingredients
1.2 Itr milk
225g carrots, finely grated
75g butter
1 tblspn golden syrup
100g sugar
50g sultanas or raisins
1 tspn cardamom seeds, crushed
Directions
Place the milk and carrots in a heavy based pan and cook over a high heat, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has evaporated.
Add the butter, syrup, sugar and fruit.
Stir until the butter and sugar have melted, then cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Pour into a shallow buttered dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle with the crushed cardamoms.
Cut into slices and serve warm or cold.
