Main Ingredient


 Water6 Quart
 Chopped onion1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Olive oil1 Tablespoon
 Garlic2 Clove (10 gm), minced
 Canned sardines in oil11 1⁄4 Ounce, drained and mashed (3 Cans Of 3 3/4 Ounce Each)
 Canned anchovies2 Ounce, drained and mashed (1 Can)
 Fennel seed1 Tablespoon
 Raisins1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Chopped parsley1 Tablespoon
 Freshly ground black pepper1
 Spaghetti/Fettuccini / other pasta1 1⁄2 Pound


In a large kettle, bring water to a boil.
In a skillet saute' onion in oil until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except spaghetti, in order and cook over low heat until heated through.
When water boils, stir in spaghetti.
Cook until "al dente."
