Carob Silk Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup raw honey
3 tablespoons carob powder dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
8 inch cooked pie crust (crumb type)
Whipped cream
Directions
Cream butter and honey together.
Add the dissolved carob and the vanilla.
Add 1 egg and beat in.
Add the other egg and beat until the filling turns from dark brown to a lighter color—about 2 to 3 minutes.
If you beat too long at this stage, the filling will start to separate.
If this begins to happen, stop beating immediately.
It does not affect the taste.
Turn filling into pie crust.
Chill 3 to 4 hours.
At serving time, cover with whipped cream.
