 Carob chips1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 Dash
 1/3-2/3 cup half and half, milk, or coffee
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Butter1 Teaspoon

Directions

Combine carob, salt, and liquid.
Heat to boiling and simmer gently, stirring, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Serve hot or cold.
