Carob Fudge Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/2 cup sifted powdered carob
 
1 cup minus
 
2 tablespoons boiling water
 
1/4 cup honey
 
1/4 cup butter
 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Place carob into a heavy, deep medium-size saucepan.
Stir in boiling water until mixture is smooth.
Blend in honey.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and simmer sauce for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, and whisk in butter until melted.
Stir in vanilla.
Store in a covered jar in refrigerator.
To reheat, open jar, and place into a pan of water.
Heat water to warm sauce.
