Carob Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Peanut oil | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Pure vanilla extract | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 cup unsifted unbleached white flour | ||
| 1/2 cup unsifted full fat soy flour | ||
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Carob powder | 3 Tablespoon | |
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix together the sugar and the oil. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Sift together the unbleached flour, soy flour, baking powder, salt, and carob powder.
3. Combine the egg mixture with the sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a well-buttered 9-inch square baking pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until done. Cut into squares or bars while still slightly warm.
