Cardamom Peaches Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cups white wine 1-inch vanilla bean
1 teaspoon crushed cardamom seeds, or more
6 peaches, halved, stoned, and peeled
Directions
Bring sugar, water, wine, vanilla, and cardamom to a boil in a saucepan.
Boil 5 minutes.
Turn to simmer.
Add the peaches, cover, and simmer 10-20 minutes, depending on ripeness of fruit.
To test, pierce fruit with tip of small knife.
