Ingredients
3 12-inch-long loaves Italian bread
3/4 cup butter or margarine , melted
1 tablespoon caraway seeds, crushed
Directions
1. Preheat broiler if manufacturer directs. With serrated knife, diagonally slice Italian-bread loaves crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices (reserve ends for making bread crumbs another day). Arrange as many bread slices in 1 layer on cookie sheet as possible.
2. Broil bread slices about 30 seconds or until toasted. Turn slices and brush with some melted butter or margarine; sprinkle with caraway seeds. Broil 20 seconds longer or until toasted. Remove toasted bread slices to wire racks to cool.
3. Repeat with remaining bread slices, melted butter or margarine, and caraway seeds. If not serving right away, store tightly covered.
