Microwave Caramel Popcorn Recipe Video

How to make microwave caramel popcorn (puffcorn) in a paper bag. It is quick, easy and yummy! Great idea or treat for Halloween!

Ingredients

 
7 ounce bag Puffcorn (in chips/snacks aisle of grocery)
 
1 cup light brown sugar
 
1 stick oleo
 
1/4 cup white corn syrup
 
1/2 tsp baking soda
 
large brown paper bag

Directions

Pour Puffcorn into paper bag and set aside.
Place brown sugar, oleo, and white corn syrup in 1 1/2 qt microwave-safe bowl.
Bring to a full boil (stirring to make sure it is thoroughly mixed).
Boil for 2 minutes.
Remove and stir in 1/2 tsp baking soda.
Pour mixture into bag over the Puffcorn.
Fold up bag and shake.
Place bag in microwave.
Cook 1 minute.
Take out - shake bag.
Repeat 2 more times.
Pour onto wax paper.
Separate with spatula.
