Caramel Custard Pie Recipe

Ingredients
vegetable shortening pastry for 1 crust pie
1 can evaporated milk
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
Add enough water to evaporated milk to make 2 cups.
In a small mixer bowl, combine milk and eggs; beat until well mixed.
In a large mixer bowl, combine brown sugar and flour; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk mixture to brown sugar mixture; beat until well blended.
Pour filling into pastry lined pie plate.
Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until knife inserted just off center comes out clean.
Cool.
