Caramel Biscuit Ring Recipe
The caramel biscuit ring is a dessert like ring prepared with cookies baked in a ring formation on a bed of caramel syrup and topped with a little syrup itself. A ready to serve dessert in 30 minutes, the caramel biscuit ring is unique and appealing.
Ingredients
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon com syrup
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 1/2 cups biscuit baking mix
1/3 cup water
Directions
Microwave margarine, brown sugar and com syrup uncovered in round baking dish, 8 x 1 1/2 inches, 1 minute; stir.
Microwave uncovered until bubbly, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.
Stir in nuts.
Mix biscuit mix and water.
Drop dough by 7 spoonfuls around side of baking dish, forming aring.
Spoon some of the caramel mixture from center over each biscuit.
Cover loosely and microwave 1 1/2 minutes; turn dish onequarter turn.
Microwave until no longer doughy, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Immediately invert on serving plate; leave dish over biscuits 2 minutes.
