Caramel Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
Directions
Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla and evaporated milk.

how long do you boil it? or is just to the boil state?

The boiling depends on what type of caramel you like. If you like sweet golden caramel, you will boil it only for a minute or so, after the sugar is completely dissolved. But if you like dark and bitter caramel, you will boil it longer.
