Caramel Sauce Recipe
This Caramel Sauce recipe is easily right at the top of my favorite list. This is the most comforting Dessert recipe I have come across. My friends tried this Caramel Sauce the other day and they simply adored it. Do I need to say more?
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Place butter, sugar, and water in a small heavy, saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat.
Boil gently 8 to 10 minutes, until mixture just reaches the firm ball stage (245 degrees on a candy thermometer).
Remove pan from heat; stir approximately 1 minute to cool down slightly.
Slowly drizzle in evaporated milk and vanilla, stirring constantly.
