 Caramels package1
 Butter/Margarine2 Tablespoon
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Pecans- 3/4 cup, coarsely chopped

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Lightly butter a serving platter.
2) In the top bowl of a double boiler, melt the caramels over simmering water.

MAKING
3) Take the melted caramel mixture away from heat.
4) Gently fold in butter or margarine and vanilla.
5) Transfer onto platter, roll the caramel mixture over the platter with buttered hands into a log about of 10 inches long.
6) Sprinkle pecans on wax paper; roll candy in nuts to coat evenly.
7) Keep rolling as candy cools so it will keep its shape.
8) Cover tightly in wax paper, then in foil and leave stand until firm.
9) Slice into 1/2-inch-thick slices with a sharp knife.

SERVING
10) Serve as desired.
