Caramel Pears Recipe

Ingredients
4 good sized, firm, but not too hard pears
6 or 8 almonds
3 oz. sugar
1 1/2 gills water
Directions
Put 3 tablespoons of the water and the sugar into a pan, stir until the sugar has dissolved then boil until dark brown.
Add the rest of the water and bring to the boil.
Peel, core and slice pears, put them into caramel, and cook for about 10 minutes.
