Caramel Cream Custard Recipe

Ingredients
3/4 cup (200 ml) sugar
1 tablespoon (15 ml) water
3 eggs
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
Dash salt
2 cups (500 ml) hot milk
Directions
Put 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar and water into a heavy saucepan; cook over high heat until syrup becomes golden brown.
Pour equal amounts of syrup into 6 individual custard cups.
Assemble Blender.
Put eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and remaining sugar into blender container.
Cover and process at BEAT.
While blender is running, remove feeder cap and slowly add hot milk.
Process just until mixed.
Pour mixture into prepared custard cups.
Put cups into shallow pan containing 1-inch (2.5 cm) depth of water. (For the best results, put paper toweling in bottom of pan and set cups on paper; this prevents the custard from splitting or cracking.) Bake in preheated 350°F (180°C)) oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Chill thoroughly; un-mold and serve.
