Remove all unpopped kernels from the popped corn.
Put popcorn in a 17 x 12 x 2 inch baking pan.
In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine.
Cook and stir over medium heat till margarine melts and mixture boils.
Reduce heat to medium-low.
Cook, without stirring, for 5 minutes more.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
Pour syrup mixture over popcorn in baking pan and gently stir to coat.
Bake in a 300° oven for 15 minutes; stir.
Bake 5 minutes more.
Transfer popcorn mixture to a large piece of foil; cool completely.
Break into clusters.
Store tightly covered.
