Ingredients

 Tomatoes4 Large
 Head of lettuce1
 Celery stalks3
 Tuna1 Can (10oz)
 Green olives10 , pitted
 Black olives10 , pitted
 Basil1 Tablespoon, chopped
 Wine vinegar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Olive oil1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1/2 Teaspoon
 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese, cut into very thin strips

Directions

Peel and slice the tomatoes.
Separate the lettuce into leaves and wash under cold running water.
Shake to remove excess water, then pat dry with a dish towel.
Trim and chop the celery.
Drain and flake the tuna.
Put the tomatoes, lettuce, celery, tuna and olives in a salad bowl and toss well together.
Mix together the basil, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper and pour over the salad.
Toss to coat the vegetables with the dressing, then scatter over the cheese.
Serve immediately.
