Capellini With Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 lb. capellini (or any thin pasta)
 
2/3 cup olive oil
 
3 crushed garlic cloves
 
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
 
1 1/2 lbs. fresh tomatoes, diced
 
6 chopped basil leaves (1 tsp. dry)
 
Salt and pepper
 
Parmesan cheese to taste

Directions

Cook in boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite).
Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce.
Heat in large skillet.
Saute for 2 minutes.
Add and continue cooking until tomatoes become soft, approx.5 minutes.
Add to sauce and stir.
Add pasta and mix well.
