Apricot Blatjang Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb. dried apricots
4 large onions
salt
2 bottles vinegar
1 lb. stoned raisins or
sultanas
2 oz. ground almonds
1 minced clove garlic
1 dssrtspn. ground ginger
2 oz. ground and sifted chillies
(or 1 dssrtspn. cayenne pepper)
Directions
Soak apricots for 12 hours and boil till soft.
Mince the raisins and par-boil the onions.
Add all the other ingredients and boil slowly to the right consistency - it should be a fine, smooth paste that is not runny when finished.
