Cantonese Ham Recipe
Ingredients
1 center slice ham, cut 3/4 inch thick
1/4 cup soy
1/4 cup sherry
1/2 cup sliced green onions and tops
2/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon salad oil
Directions
Place ham in baking dish and cover with a mixture of the soy, sherry, green onions, ginger, and water; let stand in marinade for 1 hour.
Remove ham from marinade, dry with paper towel.
Brown ham on both sides in the oil in a heavy frying pan.
Pour over the marinade, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
