Cantonese Chopsuey Recipe
Ingredients
| Bacon slices | 1/4 Pound | |
| Pork | 1/2 Pound, chopped | |
| Beef | 1/2 Pound, chopped | |
| Flour | ||
| Bean sprouts | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Celery | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tbsp. bead molasses | ||
Directions
Saute bacon in skillet until crisp.
Remove from skillet; set aside.
Dredge chopped meats in small amount of flour; sear in bacon fat.
Add 1 cup water to meats; simmer for 15 minutes.
Add bean sprouts, mushrooms, celery, green pepper, onion, soy sauce and molasses.
Simmer until meats are tender.
Crumble bacon; add to mixture.
Serve over rice.
