Ingredients

 
4 cups water
 
3/4 cup sugar
 
1 pound whole fresh apricots
 
1 teaspoon cinnamon
 
Sauce
 
2 cups milk
 
1 cup sugar
 
1 teaspoon almond extract

Directions

Combine water and sugar in medium saucepan and bring to boil over high heat.
Reduce heat, add apricots, cover and simmer until slightly soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir in cinnamon.
Cool and chill.
For sauce: Combine ingredients in small pan and bring to boil over medium heat.
Cool and chill several hours or overnight.
