Ricotta Cannoli Recipe

Cannoli is what my roommate makes for all of us every Christmas it is an excellent dessert made with cream & cheese stuffing.

Recipe Story

I have never tried my hands or even helped my friend in making Cannoli ever,it is a tedious process & is difficult too.I make the filling whereas,she does the frying of Cannoli crust.

Ingredients

 Flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cold water 
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Butter1 Tablespoon
 Vinegar2 Tablespoon
 Ricotta2 Pound
 Vanilla1 Tablespoon
 Sugar1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
 Sugar1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
 Nuts1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
 Chocolate chips1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Citron1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Directions

Mix together flour,baking powder,sugar,cinnamon and add 1 tablespoon of butter.Mix well with finger,add 2 tablespoons cold water and 2 tablespoons of vinegar.Make a d ough out of this & chill it for an hour.Roll dough to 1/2 inch and cut into 4x5-inch rectangles. Roll dough around tubes,fry until brown.Drain out these & keep aside to cool.
Beat Ricotta, vanilla, sugar until smooth, then add chocolate chips and citron. Chill for half an hour atleast.Fill crusts at both ends with filling, then sprinkle ends with chopped nuts and dust with powdered sugar.
