Candy Apples Recipe
Ingredients
| Apples | 6 | |
| Wooden sticks | 6 | |
| Sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Corn syrup | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tabasco sauce | 6 Drop | |
| Red food coloring | 6 Drop |
Directions
Wash and pat dry apples.
Remove stems.
Insert wooden sticks one third way up apples.
In a saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, water, cinnamon, Tabasco and food coloring, if desired.
Bring to a boil, stirring at regular intervals.
Place a candy thermometer in mixture.
Without stirring, boil until temperature reaches 300 °F (150 °C).
Remove from heat.
Dip each apple in candy, rotating rapidly to coat fully.
Keep apple suspended over saucepan to drain excess candy.
Place on a roasting pan covered with aluminum foil.
Let candy harden.
