Candied Yams Recipe
Candied Yams has a different taste. Candied Yams gets its taste from yam mixed with sugar and flavored with cinnamon. Candied Yams is inspired by many chefs around the world.
Ingredients
6 large yams
Cinnamon
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 lb. butter
Directions
Boil 6 large yams, let cool, peel and slice them.
Place in a baking pan.
Distribute 1 cup of sugar over them and sift cinnamon over them.
Put small pieces of butter here and there over the top and add 1 pint water.
Bake in a 350° oven until brown 40 to 50 minutes.
The water, sugar, and butter will form a thick sirup for the potatoes.
