Candied Red Onions Recipe

Ingredients

 
3 tbsp butter
 
1 1/2 cups led onions, minced
 
1 garlic clove, chopped
 
1 tbsp wine vinegar
 
2 tbsp honey
 
2 tbsp sugar

Directions

In a heavy bottomed casserole dish, melt butter.
While stirring, cook onions and garlic 5 minutes or so.
Mix in wine vinegar, honey and sugar.
Over low heat, continue cooking 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Once onions are thoroughly candied, remove from heat.
