Candied Fruit Ring Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pkg. hot roll mix | ||
| 1/2 c. candied fruits and peels | ||
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken | |
| Seedless raisins | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Prepare the hot roll mix according to package directions, adding the candied fruits and peels, walnuts and raisins.
Let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Divide in half and roll each half into a rope about 24 inches long.
Place on a greased baking sheet.
Twist the ropes together and shape into a ring.
Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until done, then cool.
Mix the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth and spread on the coffee cake.
Garnish with additional candied fruits and peels.
