Canadian Cheese Soup Recipe
I found out a great way to use Cheese by making some delicious Canadian Cheese Soup. This Canadian Cheese Soup is so tasty that I cannot resist serving it as an Appetizer often. The primary ingredient in Canadian Cheese Soup is always Cheese. Surely, Canadian Cheese Soup is a recipe one can try out any time.
Ingredients
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
4 c. chicken broth or one can chicken soup thinned with milk
1/2 c. celery, diced (opt.)
1/2 c. carrots, finely chopped
3 to 4 potatoes, grated
3 to 4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
2 c. Velveeta cheese
Directions
Saute onions in butter until tender, but not brown.
In a large saucepan, mix flour with milk, stirring until smooth.
Add broth, vegetables, salt and paprika.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Reduce heat; add cheese; stir until melted.
Simmer 15 minutes.
