Canadian Mushroom Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients
6 kaiser rolls
Butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon chopped uncooked bacon
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 jar (2 1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 teaspoon snipped parsley
18 slices (about 16 ounces)
Canadian-style bacon, cut 1/8 inch thick
6 slices (1 ounce each)
Swiss cheese
6 thin green pepper rings
Paprika
Directions
1. Split rolls; if desired, reserve tops to accompany open-face sandwiches. Spread roll bottoms with butter.
2. Combine bacon, onion, mushrooms and parsley in a 2-cup glass measuring cup. Cook uncovered in microwave oven about 2 minutes at High, or until onion is tender; stir once.
3. Arrange 3 slices Canadian bacon on each buttered roll and top with mushroom mixture and 1 slice cheese. Place 1 green pepper ring on each cheese slice; sprinkle with paprika.
4. Place sandwiches on paper towels on microwave-oven-safe roast rack set in a glass baking dish. Heat uncovered in microwave oven 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes at High, or until cheese melts and meat is hot.
5. If using roll tops, heat uncovered in microwave oven 15 seconds at High.
