Canadian Cheese Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chicken broth | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Carrots | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley diced | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley diced | |
| Dash each salt and paprika | ||
| 1 cup diced sharp process American cheese | ||
Directions
Cook onion in butter till tender but not brown.
Blend in flour.
Add milk, broth, carrots, celery, salt, and paprika.
Cook and stir over medium heat till mixture thickens and bubbles.
Reduce heat; add cheese; stir to melt.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Trim with popcorn.
