Ingredients

 
1/2 cup chopped onion
 
2 Tbs. butter
 
1 Tbs. flour
 
1/2 tsp. salt
 
1/8 tsp. pepper
 
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded
 
Hoffman's Smokey Sharp
 
3/4 cup milk
 
1 12-ounce package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes

Directions

Saute onions in butter or margarine.
Place in shallow one-quart baking dish or small skillet, brushed with butter.
Add flour, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Add cheese.
Pour milk over cheese.
Top with frozen potatoes.
Cover.
Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until potatoes are completely thawed.
Mix well.
Return to oven uncovered and bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
