Calzone Mexicana Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey | ||
| Spices package | 1 | |
| Water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed or 2 cans (9 ounces each) refrigerated pizza dough | ||
| Monterey jack cheese | 2 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Green chiles | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
Directions
In large skillet, brown ground beef or turkey until crumbly; drain fat.
Add Taco Spices & Seasonings and water; mix well.
Bring to a boil over medium high heat; reduce heat to low, simmer, uncovered, 7 to 10 minutes.
On floured board, roll dough into 14x8-inch rectangle.
Spread taco meat mixture into center of dough, leaving 2-inch border.
Layer cheese and chiles on top.
Fold dough lengthwise in half, pinch edges together to seal.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake in 350°F oven, uncovered, 30 minutes or until golden brown.
