Calves Liver With Sweet Basil And Wine Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Thin slices calves liver - 8 | ||
| Flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Small onion | 1 | |
| Red wine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parsley - for garnish, chopped | ||
| Orange - 1, for garnish,peeled and segments separated. | ||
| Bacon Slices | 16 , garnish | |
Directions
MAKING
1 Dip the livers in flour to coat evenly.
2 In a frying pan, heat the butter until foaming.
3 Add the coated liver and sauté lightly.
4 Add in the chopped onion and cook briefly.
5 Season with salt, pepper, and ½ tsp basil.
6 Gradually, pour in the wine, stirring up the brown particles from the bottom of the pan.
7 Allow to cook briefly, on low heat until the flavors blend
SERVING
8 Serve on a bed of noodles.
9 Garnish with chopped parsley, orange slices or crisp bacon.
