Sour milk or cream- 2 cups
Cake flour- 3 cups, sifted
Baking soda- 1 teaspoon
Grape jelly- 1 tablespoon, melted
Nuts- as required
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
MAKING
2.Beat sugar and eggs together until thick and lemon colored, then add cocoa, cinnamon, and sour milk or cream slowly.
3.Add this mixture to the sifted flour quickly taking care not to over mix.
4.Add soda, dissolved in jelly.
5.Pour into a waxed-paper lined pan and scatter nuts over the top.
6.Bake in the oven for 50 minutes.
SERVING
7.Serve with ice cream
