Cajun Spiced Walnuts Recipe
Cajun spiced walnuts are baked nuts that can be served as cocktail snacks or appetizers. Coated with a blend of egg whites with cayenne, paprika and mixed herbs, the cajun spiced walnuts are cooked to a crisp and fry texture.
Ingredients
Nonstick vegetable cooking spray
2 egg whites, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons mixed dried herbs
2 teaspoons paprika
4 cups walnut halves and pieces
Directions
Coat large, shallow baking pan with nonstick vegetable cooking spray.
Mix egg whites with spices.
Stir in walnuts and coat thoroughly.
Spread in prepared pan.
Bake in 350°F oven 15 to 18 minutes or until dry and crisp.
Cool completely before serving.
