Cajun Hamburgers with Tomato Relish Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground black pepper | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 4 beef medallions, each 3 cm (1 1/2 in) thick | ||
| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 4 bread rolls, split and toasted | ||
| Lettuce leaves | 4 Large | |
| 4 tablespoons prepared pasta sauce or tomato relish | ||
Directions
1. Combine black pepper and paprika. Coat beef medallions with pepper mixture. Heat oil in a frying pan until it begins to smoke and cook medallions over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked as desired. Place pasta sauce or relish in a small saucepan and cook over a medium heat until heated through.
2. Top the bottom half of each roll with a lettuce leaf, then a medallion and a spoonful of sauce or relish.
