Cajun Fish Recipe
This cajun fish is a red snapper recipe cooked in a skillet. Cooked with spices like paprika, garlic and a three pepper medley, the cajun fish is herbed with thyme and oregano for flavor. Brushed with butter it is finished when the fish is done and served warm and savory with sides of choice.
Ingredients
1 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons paprika
2 teaspoons popcorn butter salt
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
2 pounds red snapper fillets
Directions
Heat iron skillet on grill directly over medium-hot Charcoal Briquets at least 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in small saucepan, melt butter.
In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients except fish.
Brush fillets with butter; sprinkle seasoning mix evenly on both sides of fillets.
Place fillets in hot skillet and ladle melted butter over fillets.
Cook about 2 minutes on each side.
