Cajun Dressing Recipe
Cajun dressing made with pork sausage and rice is a flavorful dressing. Prepared with added vegetables, this cajun dressing is flavored with chicken soup mix and baked to finish. Used with meats of choice, it makes a lovely and filling dish.
Ingredients
1 pound hot bulk pork sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 stalks celery, chopped
1 (1.15 ounce) envelope instant chicken noodle soup mix
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
3 cups water
Directions
Brown sausage in a Dutch oven, stirring to crumble; drain.
Add remaining ingredients, and stir well.
Place mixture in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish.
Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until moisture is absorbed.
