Cabbage Borsch Recipe
Ingredients
| Brisket | 2 Pound | |
| Beef Bones | ||
| Water | 2 Quart | |
| Onion | 2 | |
| Canned tomatoes | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cabbage - 3 pounds, coarsely shredded | ||
| Kosher salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Seedless Raisins | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a deep saucepan, place together the brisket, bones and water
2) Bring the mixture to a boil, skimming off the scum
3) Add in the onions and tomatoes
4) Cover the saucepan with a lid and cook on a low flame for about an hours
5) Add in the cabbage, salt and pepper
6) Cook for an additional 1 hour
7) Add in the lemon juice, sugar, and the raisins and stir well
8) Taste for the seasoning
SERVING
9) Serve into a bowl with the meat as a garnish
