Cabbage And Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
| Cabbage | 2 Pound | |
| Bacon | 1/3 pound | |
| Water | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/3 Teaspoon | |
| Apples | 3 , peeled | |
| Apple | 1 , cut into wedges (Garnish:) |
Directions
Chop cabbage into 1 1/2-inch pieces.
Steam for 5 minutes.
Rinse under cold water in colander until cool; drain.
Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.
Saute in large saucepan until crisp.
Add cabbage, 3 tablespoons water and salt.
Simmer, covered, over medium heat for 15 minutes.
Add grated apples.
Simmer for 5 minutes longer.
Serve immediately.
Garnish with apple wedges.
