Cabbage and Apple Gelatin Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 package raspberry-flavored gelatin | ||
| Boiling water | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Grape juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 cups shredded raw red cabbage | ||
| 1 cup pared and diced raw apple | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Crisp lettuce | ||
| Mayonnaise | ||
Directions
1. Chill a 1 1/2 quart mold, or 6 to 8 individual molds, in the refrigerator until the gelatin mixture is ready. Then rinse the mold with cold water but do not dry it.
2. Dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water and let cool.
3. Add the lemon and grape juices. Chill until it begins to set; then add cabbage mixed with apple, celery and parsley.
4. Pour into 8 molds or the 1 larger mold. Chill until firm in the refrigerator, 1 hour or longer.
5. Unmold the salad on the crisp lettuce
