Baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
 
Pastry flour - 1 cup
 
Brown sugar - 1/2 cup (packed)
 
Butter or margarine - 1/2 cup
 
Eggs - 2
 
Nuts - 1 cup, chopped
 
Flour - 1 tbsp.
 
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
 
Coconut - 1/2 cup, shredded
 
Butterscotch chips – 1-6-oz. package

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

MAKING
2) In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Cut in the butter.
3) Firmly pack the mix into an 8-inch square pan.
4) Place in the oven for 15 minutes, till browned.
5) Beat the eggs, beating in the remaining brown sugar.
6) Mix in the flour, baking powder, coconut, and butterscotch pieces and mix well.
7) Add over the baked shortbread.
8) Place in the oven for about 20 minutes. Cool.
9) Cut into squares.

SERVING
10) Serve as a snack or as a breakfast item.
